Our mission

How do we make healthcare accessible, affordable, and zip-code agnostic? We start by moving the first step closer to everyday life. YouCanScan helps people pay attention sooner with quick awareness checks, private photo logs (coming soon), and UV-smart guidance—tools designed to work for anyone with a smartphone, regardless of location or schedule. Our aim is to reduce the friction between noticing a change and talking to a clinician: clear language, privacy by default, and gentle nudges that build preventive habits over time. This is not a diagnosis—it’s a clearer path to care.

From the founder

As an engineer and AI researcher, I enjoy building technologies that empower people.

YouCanScan was born from a simple idea: close access gaps by making the first step simple, private, and available anywhere. Not by replacing people, but by helping more of us arrive at care informed and early.

Across rural towns and busy cities alike, too many individuals delay care because it feels distant, costly, or complicated. That’s a systems problem. Our goal is to meet people where they are—in their homes, in their routines, and on their phones—so prevention and awareness fit real life.

Why early awareness matters

1 in 5

Americans will develop skin cancer by age 70

Earlier = better

Conversations with clinicians can happen sooner when concerns are noticed early

You notice first

Many early concerns are first spotted by individuals or family

Informational only. YouCanScan supports awareness and prevention and is not a diagnosis.

How YouCanScan helps

Check in seconds

Run quick, plain-language awareness checks. Private photo logging is coming soon.

AI for awareness

Pattern awareness and gentle guidance to support early attention—never a diagnosis.

Reminders that matter

Nudges to re-check and, when appropriate, to seek professional evaluation.

UV awareness, gently delivered

Your skin type and environment shape how you protect. YouCanScan considers local UV conditions to estimate exposure and suggest protective habits. Optional Apple Watch sync (coming soon) can include real-world outdoor time for more tailored tips. Alerts are opt-in and adjustable. Not a diagnosis.
